UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site Rammelsberg
After more than 1000 years of operation the Rammelsberg Ore Mine Works was shut down in 1988. Today it is esteemed as an outstanding industrial monument. Together with the Old Town of Goslar and the surrounding cultural landscape it has been on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List since 1992. The impressive above-ground plant complex with four museum buildings and the ore dressing plant, mine train experience tours, historic water wheels and the exciting special tours provide an unusual and authentic conference location, not only for convention meetings and presentations but also for unusual supplemental activities. The Imperial Palace, built between 1040 and 1050 during the reign of Heinrich III, is a unique secular architecture monument. Here, where from the 11th through the 13th centuries numerous court meetings and imperial diets were held and German and European history was made, you will today find one of the most illustrative locations for conventions, congresses, events and concerts. Its dominate location on the Liebfrauenberg knoll provides an incomparable view over the former Free Imperial Town. The monumental murals by Hermann Wislicenus, covering the interior walls of the over 700 m 2 hall, are a breath-taking example of 19th century historic painting. For smaller events the 120 m 2 lower floor “Winter Hall” can be booked.

The county building is located at Klubgartenstraße 6 in Goslar, in the immediate vicinity of the train station. The building was finished in 1988. The large auditorium on the ground floor provides seating for 190 people (160 seats on the ground level and 30 in the gallery) and is equipped with two projection screens, a microphone system and a grand piano, as well as a wall mural by Professor Winner. Seating: at tables for 70, for screen presentations for approximately 100 and for panel discussion for approximately 120 people. The gallery can also be used in each case.

The Mönchehaus Museum from 1528 is internationally regarded as one of the most renowned museums of modern art, and in Goslar as one of the most beautiful citizen farmer’s houses. On all three floors of the building and the adjoining half-timbered houses, in the vaulted cellar and the sculpture garden works of internationally acclaimed artists are at home and will provide a very special framework for your meeting.

In 1254, the Great Holy Cross was founded as an almshouse. Here orphans and the needy as well as pilgrims and other travellers could find food and shelter. Even today, 750 years after its foundation, it still serves its original purpose while also providing a location for high-ranking civic events such as the Imperial Feast - the culinary highlight of Goslar’s Kaiser Ring award festivities-in the historic hall.
The multi-coloured cobbled floor, the wood ceiling resting on a double row of sturdy wood pillars, the wall and ceiling paintings from the Renaissance and Baroque periods - the hall of the Great Holy Cross provides an unforgettable atmosphere for your event.

This historic citizen farmer’s house from around 1500 has an even older heart: the two-storey cellar, used for storing Gose beer, is a remnant of an older Romanesque building. The hall entry and exit doors have rounded arches and the windows with stone window seats are Gothic. This building, now owned by a Goslarian artist, provides an exceptional touch to small presentations and special events.
