UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site Rammelsberg

After more than 1000 years of operation the Rammelsberg Ore Mine Works was shut down in 1988. Today it is esteemed as an outstanding industrial monument. Together with the Old Town of Goslar and the surrounding cultural landscape it has been on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List since 1992. The impressive above-ground plant complex with four museum buildings and the ore dressing plant, mine train experience tours, historic water wheels and the exciting special tours provide an unusual and authentic conference location, not only for convention meetings and presentations but also for unusual supplemental activities.
