The building that was formerly used as main sentry of the Goslar Fliegerhorst accommodates the military history collection of the Air Force Training Regiment 1.

Besides of showing the historical development of the at first civilly used building through the military time between 1935 and 1945 up to the then followed occupation time, the focus lies on presenting the training situation of the German Armed Forces in Goslar from 1958 up to these days and a comparison of the old Fliegerhorst and its nowadays situation.

The second exhibition shows the history of the German Federal Border Police in Goslar, starting with its formation in 1951 up to its end in 2000.
