Pure Air Resort Hahnenklee

(distance: approx. 16 km)

In summer
The pure air resort town of Hahnenklee is the hub of an extensive network of hiking trails. In the 19th century the village had already developed into a flourishing resort. A painstakingly restored attraction is the Gustav Adolf Stave Church from 1907/08. Popular attractions are also the gemstone museum, the Heimatstube (Homeland Museum of Local History) and numerous events as well as a ride on the funicular railway, which takes passengers to the top of the Bocksberg Mountain (727 m) in about 10 minutes, from where there is a magnificent view over the Harz Mountains and Harz fore lands.

In winter
Ski slopes, cross-country ski trails, a toboggan run and ice skating make Hahnenklee a popular winter sports location. Snow-making facilities assure snow in the skiing and tobogganing areas, which are easily accessible by the trail network and the cabin funicular railway.
